Last month s horrifying terrorist attacks in India s financial capital were the deadliest in India s recent memory. With almost 200 dead and hundreds more injured, the blasts have raised serious questions about the Indian government s readiness to deal with emergency crisis situations of such magnitude. The aftermath has already led to a number of “political casualties”. What are the ramifications for India s internal political dynamics and external relations? Who were the attackers and what were their motives? How were they so destructive? Will the attacks have a negative impact on India s slowing economy?
