Last month s horrifying terrorist attacks in India s financial capital were the deadliest in India s recent memory. With almost 200 dead and hundreds more injured, the blasts have raised serious questions about the Indian government s readiness to deal with emergency crisis situations of such magnitude. The aftermath has already led to a number of “political casualties”. What are the ramifications for India s internal political dynamics and external relations? Who were the attackers and what were their motives? How were they so destructive? Will the attacks have a negative impact on India s slowing economy? Please join us for an evening conversation to discuss these issues, express our support and sympathy for the victims, solidarity with the citizens of Bombay, as well as to explore how interested individuals in New York can get involved in dealing with the aftermath, among other pertinent issues.
